If you have any questions about these outfitters let me know
Triple O accomidations are incredible, the lodge is on a old Army base in a airplane hanger. You will see so much history as you drive up, The guides are very knowledgable of all animals on the properties and do everything they can to get you on a trophy. The cooks will ensure you never go hungry, from a pantry of snacks, drinks and HEFTY meals! In the evenings you can sit out back by the fire watching a landing strip and various wildlife that feed in it. This outfitter undoubtably deserves 5/5 stars, I cannot wait to go back next year.
Rockin B Outfitters has so much more to offer than just the hunt, the accommodations, food, and comradery. The camp is off the beaten path in the middle of some timber and the property you’re going to hunt you will hear Florida’s abundance of wildlife including various birds and alligators. Let’s start with the cabin, it is everything a hunter needs, bed, kitchen, Living room and shower. There is minimal cell service and no TV which I found to be quite peaceful and just enjoy nature and everyone’s company, which I think was the purpose of no TV. The food is beyond stunning, ranks as some of the top food I have ever eaten let alone at a hunting camp. We arrived around 2:30 pm the day before our two day hunt, we met Bubba and our guides Dalton, Troy, and Tracey, decided who was going with who and game plans were made. We weren’t there for 10 minutes and you would think we were lifelong friends if not as close as family having a few beers around the fire. My guide was Tracey this guy is awesome, he goes above and beyond (as did other guides from what I was told by my friends just my experience) we worked birds first thing in morning but they went away, so we did the run and gun and finally got another sparked up. My bird was flopping at 11:00am. My bird was around 16 pounds, Beard was 9 3/8” and had some of the sharpest 1½” hooks I’ve seen. At lunch we decided Tracey and I would take my brother for his bird, the hunt was HOT and the mosquitos were horrible BRING A THERMOCELL and you’ll be fine. After hunting hard for the next day and a half in unbearable heat by brother got his at 2:30pm 16 pounds, Beard was 10¾”, and 1¼ spurs. Overall our camp went 4/4 all with huge Osceola Longbeards. I would recommend this outfitter to anyone who was looking to kill an Osceola. 5++ stars for these good ole Florida boys.
Before I even begin I just want to say how thankful I am to be able to go on this hunt with some other great veterans. We arrived at the lodge around noon, the lodge is absolutlely beautiful. The lodge is tucked back in a field overlooking a giant hollow and cow farm, the sunrise from the back porch is breathtaking. The log cabin itself is huge, plently of room to sleep multiple people and a processing room as well. Chef prepared us a some of the best cooked wild game i have ever tasted including Deer Tenderloin, Heart, Liver, and so much more ALL AMAZING. First evening we drew stands randomly, the preparation and layout of these stands were perfect. Bill did an amazing job mixing natural funnels and food sources to ensure best possible opportunity, the stands were a mix of box blinds and ladder stands, all extremely well maintained and comfy. We hunted hard for 4 days, the weather the first few days had the deer movement to a minimum. But like a switch deer began to fall! Out of 7 Veterans on this hunt we harvested 3 Bucks and quite a few does, Including 1 miss on a buck. I DEFINETLY will be returning and doing some more hunting with this outfitter, I give them 5/5 Stars easy, for effort, lodging, and success.
Our Captain picked us up at our dock at 7am and we began our haul 20-30 Miles out. We got into a few big Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Slate Bream, Painted Sweetlip, Remoras. We also hooked into quite a few big fish we werent able to get due to them going down into the rocky bottom. The captain was great he did everything he could to make us catch more fish, which was hard due to the ocean being choppy. This charter definitely earned 4/5 stars, I will be returning fish with them again.
We arrived at the dock at 8 P.M and met Captain Vinny, super cool guy and very knowledgeable Gigging/Bowfishing tactics. He explained how to properly gig to ensure we had the best results, let me say first hand IT IS HARDER THAN IT SEEMS but you will get the hang of it quickly. We had 4 of us and we all had (shots at fish) the entire time, I honestly don’t think there was a time we didn’t have fish all over us. The captain was extremely vigilant and was sure to give us the go ahead on all legal fish or tell us to hold if not. While out we were also able to see some of Sebastian’s wonderful wildlife like dolphins, and alligators. By the end of the trip none of us wanted to stop, we could have done it all night! Fun is an understatement, I easily give this charter a 5/5 Star rating and I cannot wait to return and do it again next year.
Well we arrived the evening before our first hunt, our group had roughly 20 guys. We were briefed by our guides and told the rules and regulations. We were all asked if we wanted to upgrade to the “trophy Track” which let you go onto their managed properties for an extra fee, in hindsight I highly recommend upgrading you will see more deer and have a better opportunity at a mature buck. The lodge was big and located peacefully on a small farm, the beds were a little out of date but in the end you’re there to hunt not have a 5 star vacation. Our cook made sure we had a continental style breakfast every morning and lunch was usually leftovers from the previous days dinner, the dinners were very good in quality you definitely will not go hungry. During our hunt it, we sat in various ladder and blinds overlooking corn piles and food plots. In the total of 3 days my father and I only seen 4 spikes and others at camp seen very few amount of deer… upsetting to say the least a possible factor is it was very warm during our hunt which could have limited their movement. I feel some guides put in more effort than others, our guide Mark Jr did his best in my opinion he was a great guy to talk too and made us feel like we were friends for years but talking to others at camp their guides didn’t really care to talk to them more of just a taxi service. By the end of our hunt our group of 20 only killed a small 6, a basket rack 7, a mature 8 point, 2 or 3 doe ( I cannot remember) and 4 pigs, so in a total of 5-6 deer and 4 pig not really ideal for 20 guys some even went home without seeing a single animal. So in conclusion I can only give this outfitter a 2.5 out of 5 stars being the minimal animals being seen, with that being said I DO plan on returning to give it another go but this time on the trophy track.
We as a family decided to do this hunt for a few reasons, 1 my brother had not killed a pheasant yet and it would be a easy hunt to do with my grandfather. If you are on a budget this is as easy as you pay for the birds you kill. When booking a hunt you have the option to bring your own dogs, or a guide and dog can be purchased for a full day or half day. Great hospitality is an understatement, the lodge was qutite nice and the huge feilds as the sun reflected off of them was just peaceful. We had our coffee and we were off, these dogs were very well trained and were pointing perfectly waiting for the flush. Once our morning hunt was over and wer killed a decent ammount of birds and we went in for lunch my grandfather wasnt sure if he would be able to walk another round through the fields. Very upseting to say the least, But the owner said he would take care of it and he did! he drove him around on his buggy until the dogs got on point in which he could get off to be ready for the shot! This itself made this outfitter get a easy 5+ Stars. We ended the hunt with 27 total birds (19 Phesant and 8 Chuckar). Overall another 5+ star outfitter, a highly recommended hunt if you want a quick hunt! with great 5 star quality.
If you cant tell from my page I am a die hard turkey hunter and currently work on my grand slam, I decided to travel to kansas with my brother for my Rio. From the get go the owner was in constant contact giving us updates on the birds he had lined up and how big they were. After a few months of anxiety it was finally time, we arrived about 12 on a wednesday once we settled into the beautiful lodge he had us on birds that evening! My brother unfortunately missing a big tom with a bow, as we were very bummed he told us not to worry that there would be plenty of opportunities to come and he wasnt kidding! Later that evening another group of five showed up to lodge. So with a total of 6 hunters and 11 tags to fill, I thought there would be some pressure on the guides. Not at all...we were all tagged out in 2 DAYS! I was in absolute shock we all tagged out with some hefty long beards. Overall these guys should get 6 stars as applied in their name, they are very polite, down to earth, and know how to get it done!
Ive hunted with broughton island 3 times over the years and was very successful every time, Once with a knife, once with a bow, and once with a pistol. I highly recommend if you are looking to kill some meat pigs or a trophy boar for a great price. So lets begin with the guides and service, these guys are awesome, plain and simple very polite and professional country boys. The hunt starts varied on tide since you take a boat to hunt islands with dogs. No matter what you are hunting with dogs, the excitement from them just running the animal will give you a rush. Once your to the island your baying dogs will begin to hunt, then when the hogs bayed the work begins. You will walk through the marsh in the thick mud and sometimes water to your chest or over your head, no worries though you will have a armored take down dog with the head the size of a jack o'lantern (im not joking) at your side. As your walking and you cant see anything you hear the dogs a hogs fighting which is a undescribable experience. At last your there and the guides pull the dogs and you take your shot! Once the hog is down the guide will field dress and drag it to the boat, I always try to help them even know its not required because this walking is tough let alone dragging a big hog out. You can repeat this process until the tide switches or you kill the ammount of pigs you want. When you ge back to your lodge the guide will skin and quarter your pig (cape if desired) as you relax have some beverages of your choice and wait on some home cooked southern food which is amazing on its own. Overall this outfitter is without a doubt 5 star experirence from the hunt, people, and the food. Below are some images from my brother and I last hunt with them.
